Question: A clear understanding of Vendor
Answer: provided by IvanDavidLippens 422 days ago
- 1 + I'd just be like... "Yeah, you're my boss, but not legally. I will support you, but if you want a full blown power trip then you need to legally employ me. That being said, I would prefer to be a 3rd party contractor, because it gives me freedoms that I appreciate."

Now, if he really wants to employ you so that he can be boss, then I would imagine he would make the deal sweeter as an employee rather than a contractor.

At least that's where I see it going. =/

Question: Pligg release candidate 2.0 not working properly
Answer: provided by IvanDavidLippens 423 days ago
- 0 + Sounds like another case of the Vote to Discard feature malfunctioning.

You need to set that feature to value zero.

If your stories are being discarded as soon as you create them then only functions which specifically articulate the ability to discard stories should be considered, and in my experience that feature was causing my problem.

Question: Why are all my submitted items going straight to the discarded
Answer: provided by IvanDavidLippens 423 days ago
- 2 + I already created a bug report for this issue. You should have looked at the list below.

It's the Votes to Discard feature that is causing it.

You need to put the value to zero, as this function is broken right now.

Question: How do I send a private message?
Answer: provided by IvanDavidLippens 403 days ago
- 0 + This is good to know!

I was basing my support system around Private Messages, and ran into some problems recently.

Thanks,

Ivan

Question: Configuring HTTPS Protocol
Answer: provided by IvanDavidLippens 423 days ago
- 0 + Re-sorted this out via chat room with Yankidank. I spoke too soon earlier.

So to clarify: changing the Base URL variable under the "Location Installed" tab of the Admin backend from HTTP to HTTPS actually does change the settings.php automatically from I could tell.

The next step is replacing your code from line 1 to roughly line 29 (based on your spacing) in your .htaccess file of your root to the contents of this pastebin file:

http://pastebin.com/7YCPCFdj

-

Copy and Paste will do fine, but you can also use the WinMerge program found in the blogs section to compare differences in code if you'd like.

Thanks again, Yankidank! This is a Lifesaver! :D

Blessings!

Question: RSS Importer Module error
Answer: provided by IvanDavidLippens 424 days ago
- 0 + This is similar to an issue that I am having.

Not the same, but similar.

Different cause, but same effect.

There is something incorrect about /libs/db.php on line 479 evidently.

Thanks,

Ivan
