Spam Trigger Module

Is not working as intended. I fixed it and submitted the complete fix to Pligg Support and posted it also on https://github.com/redwinefireplace/pligg-cms/commit/f02a9c62861f91b44903cdaa8f5bba88e5069555

How it works:

Submit a Story or Comment

1- Upon submission of a story, the Module now checks for spam based on three levels: Light Trigger, Medium Trigger and Hard Trigger:

a- Light Trigger: the story will be held for moderation.

b- Medium Trigger: the story will be discarded.

c- Hard Trigger: the user will be 'Killspamed' and subsequently all his/her stories, comments, saved stories, etc. will be deleted.

NOTE: the Spam Trigger Module comes with the Light Trigger populated with common spam words and phrases. You have to populate the Medium and Hard Triggers. You can go through the Light Trigger and edit/remove according to your liking and even move some to the medium and Hard Triggers.

Be careful, some of the included words and phrases may be used innocently in a normal story.

Editing a Story or Comment

Say that a "smart" user/spammer submitted a normal story first and immediately edited the content, title and tags to include spam. It will be caught. Same procedure applies to Comments.

I already moved 4 entries from the Light trigger to the Medium Trigger for the purpose of this demonstration.

Just purchased and installed the facebook/twitter module logins and the images are not display (just text links)

Something I've missed on install?
After you install the Sidebar saved Stories module, you get an error :

" PHP Warning: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ORDER BY saved_id DESC limit 5' at line 1 in

and the module won't work. To fix it:

open \modules\sidebar_saved\templates\sidebar_saved_index.tpl

go to line 22 and change this:

$res = "select link_id,link_title,saved_id,saved_user_id,saved_link_id from ".table_links.",".table_saved_links." WHERE saved_link_id = link_id AND link_author = ".$userid." ORDER BY saved_id DESC limit 5";

To this:

$res = "select link_id,link_title,saved_id,saved_user_id,saved_link_id from ".table_links.",".table_saved_links." WHERE saved_link_id = link_id AND link_author = link_author ORDER BY saved_id DESC limit 5";

The error was in:

AND link_author = ".$userid."

It must be :

AND link_author = link_author
I created a free module (total_story_views) for pligg CMS to show the number of story views in the line under the story title right after the time published. it has two callbacks to functions in the module:
1. To add the story ID to a newly created table “story_views”, every time a story is viewed.
2. To get the total views of each story from the “Story_views” table to print in the story summary.

The module (total_story_views) includes the following files (attached in a zip file):
1. total_story_views_init.php, where the pages to include are listed and the module_add_action to answer the callbacks, and module_add_action_tpl to display the result of the callbacks.
2. total_story_views_install.php (information about the module)
3. total_story_views_main.php, where the two callback functions reside.
4. total_story_views_settings.php (settings of the paths to the location of the module, the template folder and language files)
5. Language file. I made sure that language files are detected automatically by the config file, because I named them lang_english, lang_french, etc. and the define statement picks up the file according to the language chosen during installation or even when it is changed back and forth.

define('total_story_views_lang_conf', "/modules/total_story_views/lang_" . pligg_language . ".conf");

I tested it many times and here is the result:
• The callback from the story.php file to insert the ID in the story_view table is working
• The callback t
Hello,

I submitted a new module 12 days ago through the vendor dashboard. The status is still on pending review. I don't have any email or feedback about the process or how long it takes to be reviewed.

Any info about that?

Thanks
I am posting this as an instructional post for those who might ask this common question. You can find a 1 minute Youtube video that details the process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZiCcZhjAh8

I freshly reinstall my site and did 'back up database' and everything works smoothly. All the old stories are back, all widgets work fine, but t I am not able to install the modules. I have uploaded all the modules in my server using FTP but I can't install them from admin panel. In my admin panel all the modules are there but marked 'uninstalled'. Before restoring the old database I can install modules but after doing 'restore' I can't. Is there anything that I can do using phpMyAdmin? Or is this problem something related to doing CHMOD while installing/upgrading? It will really great someone can help me out. Thanks.
I just upgraded my site from Pligg 1.2 to 2.1 and it works. The only problem I have is that I can't find 'installed and uinstalled modules' in my Admin Panel. It shows blank under the tabs. I have uploaded all the modules correctly using FTP but they are not showing in admin panel. It will be really great if someone can help me out. Thanks.
