Search Results for "categories"
In the Admin Panel -> Settings -> Miscellenaous
The "Show subcategories" is by deffault set to false.

If you have subcategories and the default is false, when you click on a category to display all the stories under this category, it won't include its subcategories in the search result. However, if you want to also include the subcategories of the category you are searching, you have to set the value to true.

The code to include the subcategories in the search won't work as it is.

Open the below files and go to te line numbers and replace every instance of
if(! Independent_Subcategories ){

with

if( Independent_Subcategories == true){

\libs\group.php
LINE # 373 ..... if(! Independent_Subcategories ){
LINE # 450 ..... if(! Independent_Subcategories ){
\load_data.php
LINE # 190 ..... if(! Independent_Subcategories ){
\libs\search.php
LINE # 132 ..... if(! Independent_Subcategories ){
\libs\tags.php
LINE # 83 ..... if(! Independent_Subcategories ){
LINE # 115 ..... if (! Independent_Subcategories ){
\userrss.php
LINE # 146 ..... if(! Independent_Subcategories ){
Hi,

In pligg CMS, when the multiple categories option is activated, we can see in the submit page something like the image attached.
I would like to change that view into something like this http://www.bootply.com/61431 , i tried to do it, editing the submit_step_2_center.tpl , but it was not successful for me. Does anybody knows could i change it into that mode?

Thank you!
Hello Chuck,

The demo.pligg.com is already with the 2.0.1 Pligg version? Becauve I've realized (if I'm not wrong) that the sort by categories is still not working properly. If you open http://demo.pligg.com/upvoted/finance/ you'll be able to see that it's sorting the stories by ALL categories, not just by the Finance category.

Thanks!
Are there any plans of letting users create their own categories?

If not, can someone point me to which part of the code I need to look into to start implementing this for my own pligg site? Would it be feasible to implement this feature as a module? I'm fairly new to the code base.
Just a simple question, how to hide all the categories that doesn't contains story? Do you have solution for this such as module, script or whatever trick it is? If there are many, please list all those solutions. Thanks!
