Step 1: Rename the "htaccess.default" file (located in Pligg's root directory) to ".htaccess".
Step 2: If your Pligg site is on a subdomain or subdirectory, you will need to edit the .htaccess file in a text editor. Instructions are included within the file.
Step 3: From the Admin Panel sidebar, select "SEO" under Settings. For the field "URL Method" change the value to "2", this enables the SEO URL method.
All of the above assumes that you are running Pligg on an Apache server with mod_rewrite enabled. If you need to enable SEO URLs for a Nginx server, then that would require another post.
