I am working on the logic and queries in the /libs/search.php and am almost done but I need some feedback to fine-tune the end result.

As it is now, the sort by Most Upvoted, Most Downvoted and Most Commented are not working well.

1- The stories of a private group are included in the result
2- The pagination is erroneous as it is based on the total of the stories and not on the total of the corresponding query result, thus we get empty pages in the pagination.
3- In the Most Commented, the story is displayed for the numbers of its comments, to a maximum of 5. (it should be grouped)
4- The Most Upvoted still displays some stories with votes equal zero

I need information on:

1- Are the 3 above mentioned Sort supposed to return the results based on the Page (I.e. filter to link_status = new if on the New page and link_status = published if on the index/published Page) or keep the filter as it is now: filter for both?
2- Does Most Upvoted mean: “all the stories that acquired votes, including the auto vote if set, or should we filter:
a. If auto_vote is set to true, then we filter for stories having votes > 1 to accurately reflect the stories that have been upvoted. And if auto_vote is set to false then > 0?
3- The Most Downvoted should display the stories with minus (-) votes and not discarded yet, and/or the stories with 0 votes and reports > 0

Please provide me with the information so that I finish fixing the code and submit the solution.

Thank you!
A user contacted me because when he registered on my site and click to the "activate link account" for email confirmation, he receives the message "invalid activation code". I sent him again the email confirmation and the same message appeared. I deleted the account and proposed him to create a new one and the same error appears one more time. Any idea/solution?

Thank you!
We are having problems in our home page. We have thousands of stories already published but new ones are not showing in the home. New stories are fine in the database and rss but they do not appear in the home anymore.

Hi all, Im new to Pligg and like what I have seen so far.

I know in the admin there seems to be an option to mail all users, but is there an automated way for users to get a daily / weekly email of all new posts that have been added ? Bit like a basic newsletter.

Is there anyone that offers paid help ? I have approached a couple of the posters in here but no luck / no response. I can post on Odesk if not, but prefer someone part of the community.
I am working on the groups system and came across a bug. I traced it and discovered the following:

The canIhaveAcess concept is erroneous and extensively redundant anywhere in the Pligg CMS files. In some places, the access is not granted to the Site Admin because it is overridden (not only in the groups), and here is how:

In \editgroup.php, LINE 19 to 30, we find:

//check group admin
$canIhaveAccess = checklevel('admin');
$canIhaveAccess = checklevel('moderator');

if($current_user->user_id != get_group_creator($requestID) && $canIhaveAccess != 1)
{
//page redirect
$redirect = '';
$redirect = getmyurl("group_story", $requestID);
// header("Location: $redirect");
die;
}

The second $canIhaveAccess, on LINE 21, is overriding the first and only the moderator is granted access to edit. If it happens that the logged in is the site Admin, no access is granted unless the Site Admin is the creator of the group, while if the logged in is a moderator, a full access is granted to him/her.

Now, if the concept is that the Site Admin and Moderators are supposed to be able to edit any group, then we must modify the code.

Open \editgroup.php, and replace the bloc of code from LINE 20 to 21:

$canIhaveAccess = checklevel('admin');
$canIhaveAccess = checklevel('moderator');

With this block of code:

$canIhaveAccess = 0;
$canIhaveAccess = $canIhaveAccess + checklevel('admin');
$canIhaveAccess = $canIhaveAccess + checklevel('moderator');

To explain:

Anyone encountered this issue? -->

One creates a story and adds tags. On viewing the story, the tags do not appear. One needs to "edit and save" the story for them to appear.
I have this error in the log:

[10-Apr-2014 00:13:27] PHP Warning: Missing argument 1 for Search::doSearch(), called in *********/libs/sidebarstories.php on line 28 and defined in /home1/darklife/public_html/noticiasvzla/libs/search.php on line 32
Hello all,
I would like to know if there is a module on Pligg to enable a "2 step authentication", in google and facebook style.

To authenticate on a new device the user has to input a code received via SMS and then he can choose if next time he wants to repeat the process or save the device and long with his account.

Thank you
