Pligg Support

After upgrading to 2.02, i am always getting this error while submitting url
URL is invalid or blocked
Nothing like working for a while then losing your post during submit.

Before I hit submit, I usually highlight and copy all the text I entered. If Captcha doesn't work or the Submit fails I still have my text to re-paste back in that way.

If you know your post is gonna be big or complicated with links etc. Compose it in Notepad or something else then paste it in.
I'd like to remove the requirement to assign a category with a submission. I can't find the validation which is checking for this. Simply removing the field doesn't work.
Do you have a SSO module or any plans to release one ? Would make working with pligg much easier to integrate with existing cms environments.
Have found that this problem will occur if the GD2 extension for PHP is not installed on your server. Get it installed and avatars can be uploaded.
In the old version of Pligg there was an aweber module, when users registered, they could subscribe to my newsletter. Is there a new module or one in development?
Hello,

I want only display some content from some of categories on front page, does anyone try to do it? I was going to start looking into code but maybe there is easier way to do so?
I managed to move articles from 'new' to 'published' by modifying the 'votes' settings. However, I'd want to know is there a way to remove the 'new' section as all new posts are published automatically?

Also, I'd like to know if there is a method of receiving notifications by email, every time there is a new update made? Or I have to use RSS?
I'm getting ready to try installing the WordPress login plugin / Pligg module again. Hoping to get it working this time.

One caveat is I'm running WordPress in the root directory with Pligg answering from it's own directory via a htaccess redirect. Had to do it this way as some of my sites require WordPress running under multi-site.

I need to know the Pligg 'Salt_Length' and any other tips would be appreciated. If I get it working I'll try to document everything and make that available to everyone who needs it.

I also want to get it working with my older sites running 1.2.2 but the site I'm going to put this on runs 2.0.x.
Step One

If we set the value of “Negative votes to remove submission” in Admin Panel -> Settings -> Voting to any number other than zero, all submitted stories after this change will be discarded. The code is inaccurately processing the “buries_to_spam” variable which reflects the value set above.

To fix this bug see the link:

Step Two

In Admin Panel -> Settings -> Voting -> Negative votes to remove submission is set to 0 by default. However, in the current code, this defined variable that is assigned to buries_to_spam does not achieve its goal to set the story status to 'discard' when it reaches the number we set in here. As a matter of fact, even with the default value of 0, the story will be sent to discard. The fact is that the function evaluate_formulas () in \libs\link.php is what decides the status of the story when the formula set in the table_formulas is evaluated.
