Pligg Support

[05-Oct-2014 21:11:29 UTC] PHP Fatal error: TPL: [in line 4]: syntax error: var function does not exist (class.compiler.php, line 592) in /home3/simploid/public_html/social/class.template.php on line 949
It would be great if Pligg has a notification system like facebook that alerts with a red number if someone comment or reply in a story.
Hello Everyone,
Can anyone tell me about this error that I got in Admin Error Log.

"[07-Apr-2015 09:43:36 UTC] PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/coolmath/public_html/ on line 53"
I was able to work and fix all the bugs in the ‘Friend” feature. The linked file, friends-simple-messaging.html, outlines all the steps and the changes to be done.

What was done?

1. Fixed the logic of the code and eliminated the bugs that were preventing the Follow/Unfollow and also preventing the appearance of the “send message” button.
2. Now, the Follow/Unfollow will only appear to the Logged in user and have a status of Following or Follower, thus eliminating all bugs and the annoyance of any user logged in or not seeing these buttons and clicking on them only to generate an error or load a 404 page.
3. Only those who are Following each other will have the “Send Message” feature.

Let me know how it works and if there is anything missed to improve!

How could my Karma on Pligg Support drop overnight from 4090 to 3225 without any valid reason?!

There is something phishy here!!!

It is not the karma that matters, it is the principle. To make sure of what I am saying, open the votes table and you should see the last 2 entries under my user id.... any body ever get this problem?..before this my url bar is look good like others but i dont know why in this two days his showing http// in that url bar..

Hope anybody help or give some solution on this.. tanks in advance.
Hi,i have found this on old pligg forum but this for old pligg version.. anyone know how to put ad banner after several story on summaries?
I installed it and it was only returning empty placeholders. I noticed at the bottom of /widget.tpl the following:
// Need to switch this to Feedburner after re-launch

So I commented the first one and uncommented the last one as it says in the comment above.

It worked, however, the images are broken in the display. The links to the thumbnails as fetched by the $rss->channel->item is a broken link:

Even the links to the products are broken!
How can we fix this and where is the right source for the thumbnails and products?

Thank you!
Is it possible to manage permissions on a category level?
I'd like to be able to limit access (read and write) to certain categories (and subcategories) to approved users (e.g. only users I've added to a certain group or that have a minimum level).

UPDATE: I just realized that this is kind of how groups work inherently. Although it would still be cool to be able to combine categories and groups in this way. It looks like you can't have categories within a group as is.

UPDATE 2: I now figured out that you can submit to a group while still having to select a category. Those submissions then only show up for the group members. This is pretty close to what I need. It would be great to be able to limit a category's visibility to members of a group without each post having to be submitted to that group. It also seems like you can't change the visibility once a post has been submitted. So, if someone forgets to select the group at submission, I would need to ask them to delete and repost to the group, potentially losing votes and comments – not ideal. Thoughts?

USERS, please do not change you files before it is signaled by YankiDank.

This is a fix to \libs\settings-from-db.php

There is a major bug in the foreach and IF statements that is incorrectly assigning smarty variable to some of the results pulled from the config table.

the changes are reflected on my forked pligg at

I tried to push it to your github and I don't know if it went through or not.

See the links for details on how the process was and a comparison table of all the 87 variables before and after the fix.
