Module Monday & Shelter Bound

I tried to stay home as long as I could but with no running water, it has just become impossible.  I would like to shout out to “Industry Grind” who made a small contribution yesterday. I have a bunch of emails to respond to. If I haven’t gotten back to you, I’m sorry. Things have just been very hectic the past few days. I’m writing this post while sitting in a doctors waiting room. I don’t know how long I’ll be staying at the homeless shelter. I surely don’t want to spend Christmas here. Due to these resent events I have to delay the new rewards, but please don’t let that stop you from contributing.

Hey did you know that today is Pligg’s 7th birthday? We’ve made it seven years! That seems like a lifetime.

On to today’s Monday Module post.

Today we’re going to be talking about one of my favorite modules. The Status Update module which now comes included with Pligg since the 1.2.2 release.  The module is designed to add “micro-blogging” to your Pligg powered website, similar to how Twitter and Facebook allow you to submit brief messages that display on friend’s profiles. There is a video to demonstrate some of the capabilities of the module, which you can view below.

As always, I hope that you will take a moment to make a contribution. You can see why it’s so important to me, you can also snag yourself some free stuff, and it really makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing you helped out a total stranger in need. Try it!

If you wish to give a tangible item, you can always check out the wishlist.

Tune in tomorrow.
