Meteorological Monday

Shout out’s today to Marc, Guillaume, and Jason for making contributions. Thanks again guys. Well today was a day I had been waiting for for quite some time. My appeal hearing to see if I can get some kind of medical assistance. I got up early, got dressed up in my nice suit and opened the door to a massive blizzard that is right now hitting my area.

I trekked through the snow like a Clydesdale to the bus stop. It was so cold I was shivering and wet by the time I got to the court -room. The government presented their case. Then I got to present mine. The whole thing lasted maybe 20 minutes. Then the judge said she would make her decision after reviewing all the paperwork involved and said it could take up to 120 days for her to decide.

Needless to say I was kind of bummed out about the whole thing because I assumed that the judge would be making a decision on the spot. today! But apparently not.  So I have to wait another 4 months for a decision. Meaning that the likelihood of me going back into the homeless shelter in about a month is pretty high unless some miracle happens and people keep donating or someone shares my blog to popular news outlets, or maybe even a rich billionaire who would want to adopt me. LOL

I started to release some Pligg 2.x.x stuff today. One was a helper module called Pnub which is pretty simple, but needed. It puts a small drop down menu in the top right corner. Then other modules can require it and use it to put links into if needed. Basically it’s a place for modules to put links where they won’t clutter up the normal site navigation. Then I released a Job Search module for Pligg 2.x.x which makes use of the Pnub module. it attempts to geolocate their location by IP address and displays 20 jobs opening closest to them. The can also search for jobs by keywords or locations. It’s a pretty cool module. I will be releasing more. this week as I fixed a major bug in the Pligg SVN which makes Pligg2.x.x much more stable to run. So I’m sure more people will start using it.

I’ve got about 6 days left on my Indiegogo Campaign. It doesn’t look like I’ll even come close to the goal. But it was worth a try. If you would like to contribute you can do so from either here or here. I would really use it. Any amount is welcome and every little bit helps.

Thanks and tune in tomorrow
