Hosting Woes and Car Crashes

My old hosting said I was using too much CPU resources with a WordPress blog and maximum visitor day of 24 users.  Yep only 24 people in a 24 hour period caused my host to shut down my blog. From reading their forums, it’s a scam to get you to upgrade to their premium service.  Not only will I not ever use a company like that. I will tell others not to use them either. Don’t EVER use hosting24.com!!! So I’ve moved my daily blog here where I know that few people that may see it, won’t cause an uproar. I still plan on trying to post every night as I did previously.

It was about 6 pm last night when I was hammering out some code. I heard this thunderous crash outside. I almost jumped out of my skin. I ran outside to see what was going on and noticed a minivan right in the middle of my neighbors living room. I ran over to see if anyone was hurt. Thankfully no one was. She said her breaks went out and her power steering failed. It was quit the site when several police, ambulances, and fire trucks showed up.  All parking on my lawn.

The past couple days I’ve been working on a desktop app for Pligg. It will allow you to offer your site visitors an application to download to their desktop. When they launch it, it will retrieve the latest stories from your site. it’s running pretty well at the moment. I just want to clean up some things and define some others before releasing a demo of it. It will eventually be available from the Pligg Pro shop on a “build to order” basis.  There will be a couple options like your logo, icon, color scheme, etc.  It will work with all versions of Pligg including the new Pligg 2 which will be coming along shortly.

I am still offering the current donation pack as a reward for donors. I will change it often so you might want to check back and see whats available in the future. for those that are on mobile devices and are unable to see forms, you can donate via this text link.

Until tomorrow night
