Pligg 2.0 Beta Timeline
I have had a lot of people asking me when Pligg 2.0 will be available to download, and since things are going slower than I had hoped I would like to take a moment to explain our current timeline for the Pligg 2 beta release.
Just because Pligg CMS is open source, doesn’t mean that it is being developed for free. We pay a few developers for their contributions, and in the past we have always been able to fund development through sales of Pligg Pro shop items. Unfortunately this development cycle has required significantly more funding, so we will be seeking additional funds through a Kickstarter campaign.
One of the main reasons that we haven’t provided a downloadable beta version yet, is because we would like to reward Kickstarters with early access to Pligg 2. If we are able to meet our Kickstarter goal in a 30 day period, backers will receive a beta build of Pligg 2 (as well as other goodies) at the close of the campaign. Backers will receive exclusive access to Pligg 2 beta, and early access to a release candidate version.
We are trying to finish up some details concerning the Kickstarter campaign and hope to start it soon. We apologize for taking longer than expected, but please be patient with us as we work to provide a better CMS.

What is the launch date of the Kickstarter campaign, I’ll support it? and how can we get a Joomla plugin????? I’m willing to pay someone.

Will Pligg 2 be released this year at least? If not we will have to make a decision to use another solution.

I’d definitely donate some money. I’m new to Pligg but I love it, and happy that it looks good in ie7 and up. Can’t believe it’s free! A finalized version would be great. I’d like to see the ‘bury’ button next to the “vote” button like in the demo. And there are a few registration related bugs I’m having.
Anyways, let us know within the Pligg admin news console too, I don’t check Facebook, but will donate the moment I see the Kickstarter.

I have tried demo of pligg 2.0, it amazed me. So I decided to postpone installing pligg 1.2.2. I am seriously waiting pligg 2.0. Very good jobs…

Is it possible that the new pligg 2.0 will have a new integration of features to turn On and Off a paid subscription using paypal, before a member could post they have to pay via paypal. A weekly or monthly or yearly or per post subscription.
